2017 Retro Fundraising Martock

A few comments from the organiser Mr Garry Hellings, Owner of HMS Mobility Solutions ltd.

The total raised and donated from Retro Fundraising 2017 (drum roll please) Is confirmed at a staggering £10.250.00. This is our final event held in Martock and we are delighted and proud to confirm our total donated from the 5 Retro Events held 2013-2017 is £32.500.00 for Martock Charity Shop to help disabled children
We thank all the classic car owners, stall holders, Southfork Campsite, our generous sponsors, marshalls and the micro crew at team Retro for all your hard work and donations. Oh and of course not forgetting "The Martock One" Mr Graham Hansford for helping with litter picking and packing away at the end of the show. This concludes the final Retro Fundraising in Martock. It's been great fun and we enjoyed brininging such large numbers of visitors to Martock.

We are all enjoying the superb photos coming in from three wonderful men who have given up there time and two have come from Liskeard and Falmouth in Cornwall! Thank you Mr Will Badman of Yeovil, Mr Tyler Bennetts of Liskeard and Mr Sean Taylor from Falmouth. What generous people they are too!

I was honoured to be asked to capture the Retro Car Show for Garry alongside Mr Bennetts and Mr Taylor.

Every year the turnout gets bigger and bigger as the word spreads that it is a fantastic family day out.

Garry puts in so much effort to organise the events and to raise £32,500 for the disabled children plus what he does for a living making mobility scooters etc.

Every year i have taken the photos for the event (2017 being when i started doing photography as a hobby) Garry said don't worry about paying to get in and buying coffee as i was doing it to help him, i still paid my way to help raise for the charity (shhh don't tell Garry lol).

Riders In The Sky..... Annual event
This day is in memory of Lee Baker 20/05/1981 who sadly lost his life on 08/11/2010 to a motorbike accident. An unforgettable Dad, Son, Brother & Friend who has inspired us all to do the event. A true legend... one in a million. He was always raising money for charity's so now we are going to carry this on and make him proud.....

We organise different events throughout the year to raise money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. To date we have raised just around £57,000 since our first ride out and family funday on 8th May 2011.

In 2017 334 bikes clicked into the event for a ride out before the afternoon of entertainment and gathering at Tor Leisure Centre Glastonbury.
